Knit-purl patterns and a little bit of cabling are used in this textured cap. It's knitted in the round; one size fits most. Designed by Diane Brown for Simply Shetland 3 - at Galisteo.

Finished size is 20" in circumference and 9" in length (with brim not folded). One cap requires 2 balls of Jamieson's Shetland Heather Aran. Shown in color #108 Moorit.

Pattern calls for knitting this cap on a 16" circular needle and a set of double-pointed needles in size US 5 -- note that this needle size would be appropriate for a loose knitter, and you may want to go up one or two needle sizes. You'll also need a cable needle.
