A great yarn gets a new name: Rowan Scottish Tweed Aran. This is the same yarn you knew and loved as Harris Aran, now re-named to honor its Scottish origin. This yarn is milled on the Isle of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides, off Scotland's northwest coast. The labeling will say Rowan Harris Aran or Rowan Scottish Tweed, as our inventory is replenished.
See the newest Rowan book, Scottish Island Knits, for designs from Kaffe Fassett, Jean Moss, Sasha Kagan, and other members of the Rowan design team for patterns using these yarns. Or use them in any pattern calling for Rowan's Yorkshire Tweed Aran.
