A great yarn gets a new name: Rowan Scottish Tweed DK. This is the same yarn you knew and loved as Harris DK, now re-named to honor its Scottish origin. This yarn is milled on the Isle of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides, off Scotland's northwest coast. The labeling will say Rowan Harris or Rowan Scottish Tweed, as our inventory is replenished.
Scottish Tweed DK is a true double knitting weight that comes in 19 heathered colors.
Scottish Inspirations is the latest book to use Scottish Tweed in its patterns; designs by Sarah Dallas, Wendy Baker, and Catherine Tough are for men, women, and children. See also Scottish Island Knits, for designs from Kaffe Fassett, Jean Moss, Sasha Kagan, and other members of the Rowan design team for patterns using these yarns. Or use them in any pattern calling for Rowan's Yorkshire Tweed DK.
