I have found for Fair Isle and Latvian mittens this yarn is the easiest to work with. The colors are a dream. One thing to note though--kids with sensitive skin might complain about "scratchiness" at first. I found soaking the mitts before wear softens them a bit. I turn to Jamieson's first for Latvian Mittens. A tried and true yarn. I have sensitive skin problems and cannot wear a sweater out of it against my skin. However, the blended, heathery colors are to die for, and the "stickiness" for fair isle just can't be beat! Don't be scared away by the feel of it; you can always soak the balls in hair conditioner, eucalan, kookaburra, or Soak to soften it up pre-knitting! Was this review helpful to you?
